Hello! Props to you for wanting to check in and stay on top of things despite the snow day.
Day 3, baybeeee! Wow I wish I had packed my work bag expecting a five day weekend instead of just two! But we'll get through this!
Updated 2:15PM Weds 1/15 - some bullet points below have been updated in bold:
-->We have confirmation from admin that finals dates are NOT changing, so I am adjusting my final accordingly. :)
-->G10 and G9 Study Guides now available to right/below.
-->Late work from the current unit will be accepted through this Tuesday, January 21st 3:15pm - extended this just in case you need it.
-->I'll get my website back up to date as soon as I am back in the school building--the malware attack made it so we have trouble connecting to Weebly last week but that's my priority once we get back.
-->I spent yesterday and today grading and am continuing to put some things into Skyward this evening. However, I wait to enter culminating grades until after I hand them back in person, so you will get those towards the end of this week.
-->Grade 9: Nguyen and I will talk first thing once we are back to see if we need to adjust our due dates. Keep working on note cards and outline--even if we move dates around, they will still be due at some point.
-->Period 5: Continue working on your Source Eval (due Friday), and don't forget to turn in your research to King's Turnitin if you have not already. King sent an email via Skyward today (Weds) with more info. Instead of presenting the assignments verbally, we will just do a gallery walk, so do not worry about preparing a verbal presentation, just focus on putting your analysis on a poster. I am going to push back our work with Metamorphosis until next semester. Modernism will still be on the final exam (what is it, themes, techniques, etc--stuff from the powerpoint/graphic organizer). We will review together Tuesday, but be sure to check out the study guide before then.
-->Block 6/7: Continue working on your Source Eval (now due Tuesday.) Instead of presenting the assignments verbally, we will just do a gallery walk, so do not worry about preparing a verbal presentation, just focus on putting your analysis on a poster. I'm going to just cut the mini-poster assignment and catch up with that the week after finals, to make sure you have time for your Source Eval and finals prep. Modernism (what is it, themes, techniques, etc) and questions on the plot of Metamorphosis will still be on the final exam. We will review together Tuesday, but be sure to check out the study guide before then.
